Nokta Impact Price
The Nokta Makro Impact is an older-generation VLF detector, so its price moves with availability rather than sitting at one fixed level - it frequently appears as a strong used buy. Below we cover what drives the cost, what the package includes, and how its value stacks up against Nokta's current models.
What you are paying for
The Impact is a feature-dense VLF machine, and the price reflects the control it hands you rather than any budget positioning. For your money you get three selectable frequencies (5, 14 and 20 kHz), a three-mode ground balance (automatic, manual and tracking), Iron Audio to suppress trash, and fully adjustable tones. Being an older platform, it tends to cost less than Nokta's newest flagships while still offering serious depth and adjustability.
What the package includes
- The Impact control unit and search coil.
- Standard AA battery operation - no proprietary pack to replace, so running costs stay low and spares are cheap.
Because configurations and bundled coils differ between listings, confirm exactly what a given offer includes before buying. A used unit may or may not come with the original accessories.
Is it good value
For a tinker-friendly hobbyist, the Impact is often good value - especially used - because you get deep adjustability and field-swappable batteries at a price below the current multi-frequency flagships. If you want the newest simultaneous multi-frequency technology or the lightest body, that money may be better aimed at Nokta's current families; see our Nokta Impact overview and Impact review to decide whether the feature set justifies the cost for you.
Buying note
Prices for an older model like this vary by seller and condition, so always check the current listing rather than relying on a historical figure. On the used market, factor in coil condition and whether the original accessories are included.
