Nokta Makro Simplex Accessories

Think of Simplex add-ons in three practical categories: the search hardware (coils and shafts), the audio chain (wireless headphones), and the power side (battery and charging). On top of that, Nokta sells the detector in bundles that fold in digging and carry gear, so some of what people shop for separately is already in the box depending on the kit.

• Coils and shafts - the stock coil handles most hunting, while larger or smaller coils and a lighter shaft change depth and maneuverability. This is where most owners customize first.
• Headphones - the Simplex supports wireless audio; the green Nokta wireless headphones are the common pairing, and a waterproof option exists for underwater work.
• Battery and charging - the built-in rechargeable lithium battery charges over USB, and there are cables and charging tips worth keeping as spares.

Nokta's accessory packages commonly add a waterproof Nokta pinpointer, a premium 7.5 inch stainless steel digger with cutting-edge teeth and a belt holster, a carrying bag and a finds pouch. If you are starting from scratch, buying the bundle is usually cheaper than sourcing these piece by piece. A popular third-party add-on is a printed field guide to the Simplex, which some owners buy to speed up the learning curve.

Add a pinpointer first - it saves the most time in the hole. Keep a spare charging cable in your bag. If you hunt trashy sites, a smaller coil improves separation; for open fields, a larger coil adds depth. Stick to compatible coils and current firmware to avoid the screen-freeze issues some owners have reported with certain third-party coils.
