Nokta Triple Score Metal Detector
The Nokta Triple Score is the flagship of Nokta's budget Score family: a lightweight, fully waterproof simultaneous multi-frequency detector that adds further search modes and a Pro Pack bundle over the Double and base Score. It is the most capable machine in the simple tier, popular with beginners who want room to grow.
Pros
- Most capable model in the Score family
- Added search modes including relic mode
- Very light at around 2.6 lbs
- Fully waterproof to 16 ft (IP68)
- Pro Pack bundles pinpointer and digging kit
Cons
- Simpler interface than the Legend flagship
- Still a budget-tier machine, not a flagship
- Pro Pack costs noticeably more than the detector alone
Overview
The Triple Score tops the Score family (Score, Double Score, Triple Score), carrying the most capability while keeping the line's hallmark simplicity. It uses Nokta's simultaneous multi-frequency (SMF) technology, is fully waterproof to IP68 (submersible to 16 ft / 5 m), and weighs about 2.6 lbs. A rechargeable 3250 mAh battery runs up to 12 hours, and free USB firmware updates keep it current. Many buyers specifically look at the Triple Score Pro Pack, which bundles accessories alongside the detector.
Key features
- Simultaneous multi-frequency (SMF) for strong all-round performance.
- Added search modes over the lower Score models - including a relic mode that owners single out as interesting.
- Fully waterproof IP68, submersible to 16 ft / 5 m for beach and shallow-water hunting.
- Lightweight at about 2.6 lbs, comfortable for long sessions.
- Rechargeable 3250 mAh battery up to 12 hours, USB charged.
- Bluetooth wireless audio and free firmware updates.
- Pro Pack bundle adds a Nokta Pointer, premium digger, carry bag, finds pouch and cap.
Who it is for
The Triple Score suits the beginner who wants the most capable machine in the simple family and room to grow, plus the value hunter weighing it against the pricier Legend. Owner reaction is positive - one forum thread is simply titled 'The Triple Score is a winner!', and beginners eyeing beach hunting have had the Pro Pack recommended to them. Its relic mode draws particular interest from those who hunt older sites.
How it compares and related models
Against the Double Score, the Triple adds search modes and the Pro Pack option while staying in the same light, waterproof SMF family. The big question for many buyers is Triple Score versus the flagship - our Triple Score vs Legend comparison breaks that down. Buying note
Decide between the standalone detector and the Pro Pack - the Pack costs more but includes a pinpointer and digging kit that you would otherwise buy separately. Prices vary and the line is often discounted, so check the current listing.
